Truck & Trailer TPMS With Axle-Temperature Warning

Pressure data inside the fleet's own CAN network, axle-temperature early warning per axle group.

Long-haul truck with CAN-BUS TPMS and axle-temperature monitoring
  • Client: commercial fleet operator (name withheld by agreement)
  • Division: TPMS
  • Products supplied: CAN-BUS TPMS, axle-temperature sensing, companion cable
  • Scope: CAN integration, alarm logic per axle group, dashboard link
  • Gate: configuration confirmed before sampling
The Brief

Long-Haul Routes, Two Kinds of Failure

A commercial fleet needed pressure data inside the vehicle's own CAN network, plus axle-temperature early warning on long-haul routes. The fleet ran mixed axle configurations, so alarm logic could not be one-size-fits-all.

What We Built

Into Their Network, Not a Second Screen

CAN integration

Pressure and temperature data mapped into the vehicle's CAN network.

Axle-temperature sensing

Axle-temperature probes and the companion CAN power cable shared with the receiver.

Alarm logic per axle group

Thresholds and escalation set per axle group, not per fleet.

Dashboard link

Data fed into the fleet operator's existing dashboard.

Outcome

Alerts Where They Matter

For the operator

  • In-dash pressure data, no second display to mount.
  • Axle-temperature alerts on the routes where failures cost the most.

For maintenance

  • Alarm logic per axle group matches how the fleet is inspected.
  • One companion cable across receiver and controller simplifies spares.
